Why I prefer Gnome over KDE

(as a new user to Linux)
1. Gnome is cleaner.
2. Gnome looks better out of the box. There’s no space-hogging icon or taskbar (which is very important since I haven’t been able to edit xorg.config to change my screen resolution from 800*600). You should see KDE on my a virtualization window. It looks terrible.
3. The clock looks terrible.
4. Everything’s too shiny! (maybe this will change with KDE 4)
5. I don’t like the eye-candy.
6. KDE is clunkier in its default configuration. The huge icons make KDE look like a kid’s toy. (I think this will change in KDE 4)
Once KDE 4 comes out, I’m giving KDE another chance. For now, though, I’m using Gnome.
Very trivial reasons, I know.
