Plasma!

My science fair project involves treatment of plastics with corona discharge plasma.

These plasmas exist at very low temperature–you can put a droplet of water under it and nothing will happen (pictures are included).

In addition, because plasmas are high-energy electrical arcs, you can light a light bulb with them.

Here is the plasma:
